Anas stated: “God’s Messenger said: ‘‘Ali
ibn Abi Talib will shine in Paradise like the morning star
does for the people of the world.”

Following is the schematic illustration
of the isnad of this narrative’s variants:
According to Ibn al-Jawzi, the narrative
cited by him is not authentic because Yahya ibn al-Hasan al-Fatimi
is muttaham and Ibrahim ibn Abi Yahya is matruk.
Humayd al-Tawil is a mudallis and all
variants have his an‘anah.
Regarding Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Naqqash
(d. 351 AH), al-Dhahabi records: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan says
that he lies in hadith and is a story teller; Al-Burqani
says that all his narratives are munkar; Abu al-Qasim al-Lalaka’i
says that the tafsir of al-Naqqash is no ailment for the
hearts.
