‘Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa stated: “God’s
Messenger (sws) once came out among his companions who had
gathered and said: ‘O Companions of Muhammad! God has shown
me your abodes with regard to their location from me.’ Then
God’s Messenger (sws) took ‘Ali by his hand and said: ‘O
‘Ali! Wouldn’t you be happy if in Paradise your house is
opposite my house?’ He replied: ‘Indeed! God’s Messenger,
may my parents be sacrificed for you.’ The Prophet said:
‘Indeed your house in Paradise is opposite mine.’”
Following is the schematic illustration
of the isnad of this narrative’s variants:

About ‘Ammar
ibn Sayf al-Dabbi, al-Mizzi records: Yahya ibn Ma‘in says
laysa hadithuhu bi shay’; Abu Zur‘ah says that he is da‘if
and Abu Hatim says that he is da‘if al-hadith and munkar al-hadith;
Abu Da’ud says that he is mughaffal; al-‘Ijli says that he
is thiqah thabt.
Ibn Hibban records: it is not permissible to adduce from
him; he reports from Isma‘il ibn Abi Khalid who reports from
Ibn Abi Awfa who reports from the Prophet (sws) narratives
which are baseless and have no foundation.
Al-Daraqutni says that he is matruk.
About ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Muharibi,
Yahya says that he narrates munkar narratives from unknown
narrators.
