حدثنا أبو سَلَمَةَ يحيى بن خَلَفٍ
الْبَصْرِيُّ حدثنا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بن سُلَيْمَانَ عن أبيه عن
حَنَشٍ عن عِكْرِمَةَ عن بن عَبَّاسٍ عن النبي صلى الله عليه
وسلم قال من جَمَعَ بين الصَّلَاتَيْنِ من غَيْرِ عُذْرٍ فَقَدْ
أتى بَابًا من أَبْوَابِ الْكَبَائِرِ قال أبو عِيسَى وَحَنَشٌ
هذا هو أبو عَلِيٍّ الرَّحَبِيُّ وهو حُسَيْنُ بن قَيْسٍ وهو
ضَعِيفٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الحديث ضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَغَيْرُهُ
‘Abdullah ibn
‘Abbas stated that God’s Messenger said: “He who combined two
prayers without any excuse, he has committed a major sin.”

About Hanash ibn Qays (also called Hasan ibn Qays), al-Mizzi
records: Ahmad ibn Hanbal says laysa hadithahu bi shay’ and
that he has not narrated anything from him matruk al-hadith
da‘if al-hadith; Yahya ibn Ma‘in says that he is da‘if laysa
bi shay’; Abu Zur‘ah regards him to be da‘if ; Abu Hatim
regards him to be da‘if al-hadith; al-Bukhari says that his
narratives are munkarah jiddan wa la yuktabu hadithuhu; al-Nasa’i
says that he is matruk al-hadith and at another place says
that he is laysa bi thiqah; Ibn ‘Adi says that he is closer to
du‘f than to sidq.
