Morals and Morality
This present issue in your hands
is a translation of Ghamidi’s work on Islam’s stance on morals and morality. It
is not merely an exposition of the moral guidelines set forth by the Holy
Qur’an. The author has, indeed, tried to delineate comprehensively the view of
Islam on morals and ethics – an academic discourse that is entirely based on the
fountainhead of Islam, the Holy Qur’an.
Regarding the classification of
this exposition, it is pertinent to point out that there are three main
sub-sections in it. The first deals with the fundamental principles of morals;
the second elaborates sound and unsound morals, and the third expounds the
pinnacle of morality.
